Hi, and welcome to this page.

My name is Stefano Bittante and here follows a brief self-introduction.

I was born on July 28th 1981, in Asolo, a small town in the north  of Italy. In year 1998 I went to Erie, Pennsylvania (USA), where I graduated at East High School. Then I came back to Italy where in 2000 I graduated at Liceo Scientifico Primo Levi of Montebelluna (TV) too. Since than, I had college courses at Università di Padova at the Dipartimento dell'Ingegneria dell'informazione, where I graduated on April 28th 2006 with 110 cum laude in  Computer engineering.

My thesis project is titled "Ricostruzione dell'angolo di rollio di una motocicletta tramite filtro particellare e sensori GPS/INS", which translated in English sounds like "Motorbike roll reconstruction using particle filter and GPS/INS sensors".

My main interest area image analysis and feature extraction.

In the past, I worked part-time at Evoluzioni Italia where I developed from scratch an OCR which has been used in Italian "Launch Voucher" recognition.

I'm also the maintainer of www.prezzibenzina.it, a massive group project with the purpose of monitoring gas prices in Italy. Recently I started a two new projects to find Pizza delivery shops (Pizza a Domicilio) and to locate yourself by using wireless access points (bssid).

At the moment I am currently working at Singular ID Italia, a subsidiary of Singular ID, a company dedicated in realizing anti-counterfeit systems.
